The course introduces students to current topics of importance to the study of fishes. An emphasis will be placed on the fishes of Tennessee and the Southeast. Topics to be covered: evolutionary history, structure and form, taxonomic diversity, ecology and conservation, research techniques, and standard sampling and identification methods. Prerequisite: BIOL 130.
